According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tyrese Gibson will be joining the cast list for an upcoming Netflix sequel, The Christmas Chronicles 2. Gibson will play the boyfriend of actress, Kimberly Williams-Paisley’s mother in the film. The cast list also includes Darby Camp, Judah Lewis, Julian Dennison, and Jahzir Bruno.
Coming Soon states that in the sequel to 2018’s The Christmas Chronicles, Kate Pierce — now a cynical teenager — is unexpectedly reunited with Santa Claus when a mysterious, magical troublemaker named Belsnickel threatens to destroy Christmas forever.
Chris Columbus will direct and produce, alongside Mark Radcliffe and Michael Barnathan. The script is written by Matt Lieberman and Columbus.
