Yesterday, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have unveiled the official add-on to The Conjuring 3‘s moniker. What they’ve chosen is the phrase, The Devil Made Me Do It. This third entry for the Conjuring Universe series is set to release on September 11, 2020.
Coming Soon states, “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.”
The cast list includes Patrick Wilson (Ed) and Vera Farmiga (Lorraine). The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It also stars Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard. To date, this film is the seventh film in the Conjuring Universe and the largest horror franchise in history.
