The Weeknd and Doja Cat have taken to Twitter to tease what seems like a collaborative remix of the pop stars song, “In Your Eyes.”
On Tuesday (May 19), Doja put up a sassy Twitter poll with The Weeknd listed as one of the possible collaborators on make-believe songs with titles including “Stuart Little,” “Gumby” and “Pi–y T–s.”
“Which one of these artists have I collaborated with and will be releasing the song to very soon?” she asked. To follow up the hype she tweeted simply, “in your eyes,” as well as changing her Twitter handle to the name of the song from The Weeknd’s recent After Hours album.
The Weeknd got in on the action too, retweeting Doja and adding a pair of hearts and a saxophone emoji.
“In Your Eyes” was the third single lifted from The Weeknd’s fourth studio album, After Hours, following “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights.” The Canadian singer dedicated the record to a fan who had passed away days before its release.
Doja Cat also seems to be on a winning streak as she recently released her No. 1-debuting Nicki Minaj-assisted “Say So (Remix).” Speaking with Nick Cannon, Doja explained that she “manifested” her collaboration with the mega-rapper. However, beyond this magnitude of success, this single also made history as it was the first time in which two Black women claimed the number one spot simultaneously.
