Back like they never left! Teyana Taylor and husband, Iman Shumpert have landed a new reality show set to air on E!. As announced by E!, the power couple is set to star in the new series called, We Got Love Iman & Teyana. The couple who is not shy on speaking their truth by changing the narrative of black love, are not strangers to the reality scene. The couple previously had a reality show on VH1 called, Teyana & Iman. The reality show, which lasted for one season aired back in 2018.
The couple who wed in 2016 have grown their family, now having two beautiful daughters and have grown their careers. Although Teyana recently announced her retirement from music, she is a woman who wears many hats. Recently, she starred in Coming 2 America and she is set to star in the biopic of Dionne Warwick. Iman is a professional basketball player recently picked up by the Brooklyn Nets and has dabbled in music himself. The couples main priority however, seems to be about love, making their marriage work and their family. Iman said in a previous interview when speaking on marriage “We fight for it, man. Honestly. We try to always give off a good energy and keep certain things private, but we never lie about how hard it is.”
Iman also said in the promotion of their last reality show, “When I look at reality shows, it don’t look like reality to me. It’s so important to be a positive representation of black love that my ass actually got on TV to do it.” And now the couple is set to have another go at being a positive representation. Although the official release date has not been announced, we know that it is definitely in the works! E! said the reality show would be an, “Unfiltered behind-the-scenes look at their lives juggling music, fashion, business and family.”
