Today on The Feature Presentation, we have Wild N’ Out freestyle extraordinaire, Justina Valentine making another appearance on our platform. But this time, she’s joined by Mark Battles for Futuristic‘s new single, “I.O.F.W.R.” On “I.O.F.W.R,” which stands for I Only Fuck With Rappers, the trio flow effortlessly over an upbeat soundscape. At a lyrical standpoint, there’s some banter scattered around and witty punchlines like “Flow sick gotta cough on them.”
The first to lay out some bars is Futuristic, who speaks briefly about people who didn’t believe in him but flipped the script once he reached stardom. Deeper into his verse, the Still On The Rise emcee lists the qualities that separate him from average-day spitters and his ways with women as he flows between a rapid cadence and bouncy one.
Next, Justina Valentine speaks about one of her many business endeavors, including being a rapper who brings laughter, which is a reference to her crucial role on Wild ‘N Out. Elsewhere, she speaks about an individual who expressed their admiration for her. “Said she loves all my bars, and she seen me on Sway,” Justina raps. “She said she’d die for these five fingers, and I’m like okay.” As the verse continues, Justina even mentions this certain someone tryed to shoot their shot.
Afterward, Mark Battles lets it be known that he has no interest in groupies, but rather women who like him for who he is. Deeper into his verse, Mark sheds light on his upbringing. Then, he leaves a P.S.A for all the haters out there, “Nigga play with me; that’s the day he gon’ sleep,” he spits.
Sonically, the track pairs a coin toss loop with light whistles, funky piano keys, and a knocking bassline.
The visual, directed by IHateKannon, shows models in cute summer attire and all three rappers donning clothes that match with different colorful backdrops.
