The topic of race in America has become rather touchy in the past few years. The Netflix show Dear White People has been doing that since it first debuted in 2017, and with great success. Dear White People follows a group of African-American students as they attend an Ivy League college, navigating the world of college while also dealing with subjects regarding race, sexuality and everything in between. Despite how successful Dear White People has been over the past few years, racial tensions certainly haven’t subsided. Maybe its end can be considered a sign of progress though, that the series did its job and educated others about important topics such as race.
