Marvel Studios has officially entered the next phase of its endgame. With the Marvel Cinematic Universe inching closer to the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga, the studio has unveiled a brand-new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. And it wastes no time raising the stakes. Debuting after its initial theatrical screening in front of Avatar: The Way of Water, the latest teaser places Wakanda, the Fantastic Four, and an ominous unseen threat on a collision course.
The fourth teaser centers on Black Panther and M’Baku as they encounter an unexpected arrival of the Fantastic Four. In one of the trailer’s most striking moments, The Thing crosses paths with M’Baku, confirming that Marvel’s First Family from Earth-828 has officially entered Earth-616. The footage also reveals a refreshed look at Namor, marking his return following his powerful debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Alongside The Thing, the trailer confirms the presence of The Fantastic Four: First Steps trio—Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Reed Richards—further solidifying Avengers: Doomsday as a true multiversal convergence. Marvel Studios has been steadily rolling out new visuals and character reveals since December 2025, each teaser expanding the scope of what’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious crossover events in franchise history.
Previous teasers laid the emotional groundwork. The first trailer stunned audiences with the confirmation that Chris Evans will return as Steve Rogers, revealing that he and Peggy Carter had a son before teasing Cap’s reentry into the fight. The second focused on Thor, with Chris Hemsworth’s Asgardian god praying to Odin for the strength to defeat a looming evil and return safely to his daughter, Love. Though never named, Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom loomed large in Thor’s words, casting a shadow over the entire saga.
The third teaser leaned fully into fan nostalgia and legacy, spotlighting the X-Men’s arrival. Sir Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and Sir Ian McKellen’s Magneto appeared united, while James Marsden’s Cyclops returned in a comics-accurate costume, signaling Marvel’s intent to honor the Fox-Marvel era while folding it into the MCU’s future.
Now, with Wakanda and the Fantastic Four entering the spotlight, Avengers: Doomsday feels less like a single film and more like a culmination. One that brings together gods, mutants, legends, and kings as the war against Doctor Doom inches closer.
Before Earth’s Mightiest Heroes reunite, Marvel will first turn its attention to Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But make no mistake the countdown has begun. With that being said, Avengers: Doomsday arrives exclusively in theaters on December 18th, setting the stage for a multiversal war that will redefine the MCU forever.
