The new movie Michael shows many members of Michael Jackson’s family, but Janet Jackson is not in it.
La Toya Jackson explained why: Janet was invited to be part of the movie, but she politely said no, and her decision was respected.
At the movie premiere in Los Angeles, La Toya was there with some of her brothers and said she wished the whole family could have been included.
Janet hasn’t said anything publicly about skipping the movie and didn’t go to the premiere. The director, Antoine Fuqua, said he respects her choice and still appreciates her support for Jaafar Jackson, who plays Michael in the film.
The movie stars Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s nephew, as Michael. It also includes actors like Nia Long and Colman Domingo as his parents.
The film tells the story of Michael Jackson’s life, from his early days with the Jackson 5 to becoming the famous “King of Pop.” La Toya said Jaafar did an amazing job and really felt like Michael.
