The second season of Andor will be arriving on Disney+ very soon. Updates on the show’s progression were revealed during Star Wars Celebration. The creator, Tony Gilroy, told the audience they’re halfway through production. He also said, “We will finish shooting in August, a year on post, and we’ll come out in the following August.” He describes the finishing process as “creatively potent” Unfortunately, the trailer was only accessible to those in attendance.
Andor investigates Cassian Andor’s adventures during the prime years of the Rebellion. He’s known as a hero rebel spy.
Cassian is played by Diego Luna. The show also stars Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, Alan Tudyk as Cassian’s droid sidekick K-2SO and Star Wars newcomers Denise Gough, Stellan Skarsgård, Kyle Soller, and Adria Arjona.
Andor follows the heels of the 2016 film. It amassed over $1 billion worldwide.
