Disney+ will potentially make an animated spin-off series of Black Panther. On The Hot Mic podcast, Jeff Sneider unveiled that Ryan Coogler and Disney had a sit-down and spoke about creating a series based on Black Panther. However, instead of being a live adaptation, the family-friendly network will have a go at creating a more illustrated series.
Sneider believes the series will be titled The Golden City, which references the fictional city of Birnin Zana: the capital city of the Kingdom of Wakanda. Nothing else was revealed regarding the potential future show. However, some time ago, rumors spread about a Black Panther-based series starring Danai Gurira. The actress was hush-hush about the details during her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
