Variety brings word that Showtime has renewed the Emmy-nominated comedy series Black Monday for their third season. It will carry ten episodes, with production scheduled for 2021.
Black Monday stars Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells, Regina Hall, and Paul Scheer. The forthcoming scenes will also include recurring guests, Yassir Lester, Ken Marino, Horatio Sanz, and Casey Wilson.
The series takes it back to October 18, 1987 — aka Black Monday, the worst stock market crash in Wall Street history. Black Monday focuses on a group of outsiders who take Wall Street by storm. In the end, they unexpectedly crash the world’s largest financial system and the glass ceiling.
