According to The Hollywood Reporter, AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron announced that the film has already shattered the pre-sale ticket record for R-rated films! Grossing an outstanding $8-$9 million on opening day pre-sales.
Breaking box office pre-sale records since tickets went on sale on Monday, an amazing amount of 200,000 and counting have been sold. The hype and huge demand around its arrival mark a new high for the genre, shattering earlier records set by other R-rated films. Fandango has also validated the film’s record-breaking success, stating that the opening day sales for Deadpool & Wolverine are the highest in 2024 and set an all-time high for the Deadpool franchise as a whole.
