2019 started off pretty slow for Drake but, as summer began so did the Drake tracks and collaborations. Drake started off with releasing The Best In The World Pack EP, which had the tracks “Omerta” which had Drake doing his usual boasting and flaunting and “Money In The Grave” which is a solid but not spectacular collaboration between Drake and Rick Ross. It definitely ranks at the bottom of their team-ups. Drake followed this collaborating with Chris Brown on “No Guidance”, which most would consider “Song Of The Summer”. He was even turned into a meme when the music video for the track was released. He is also featuring on Rick Ross’s upcoming album on the track “Gold Roses”.
Then yesterday on Instagram he announced that he was dropping a compilation album called Care Package. The 17 track album will feature notable songs such as “The Motion”, “How Bout Now”, “4PM in Calabasas”, and “Draft Day” to name a few.
“Some of our most important moments together available in one place,” Drake wrote in the project’s announcement.
These tracks are not new, but they were previously unreleased or only available on Soundcloud or unauthorized videos on Youtube.
Drake dropped Care Package under the OVO banner. Best In The World EP was dropped under Frozen Moments, LLC. It seems like Drake is moving away from Young Money/Cash Money.
Drake also let us know he’s in album mode ahead of the ninth annual OVO Fest in Toronto.
