There’s a lot of talent in the Big Apple but when it comes to boy groups, only one squad is making viral noise. Back in 2014, Exit 21 posted a cover to Ginuwine’s “Pony” and set social media on fire as R&B lovers went on a mission to find out just who these 4 young men were. Fast forward to the year 2019 and they finally released a new EP titled Take One.
In the mean time, in between time, the group racked up over 270K followers and almost 100K in views on Instagram. Their singles such as “Bounce It,” “Bedroom” and “Chances” have been catching the attention of many, creating an even stronger fan base. Their Take One project samples the greats such as 112’s “Only You” and Jagged Edge’s “He Can’t Love You” serving updated ’90s vibes through your speakers.
The Feature Presentation got a chance to catch up with Shawn Foxx, 1/4th of the group regarding the making of the EP.
“The process was a lot of work. We had to do a lot of switch ups due to management, so on and so forth. Most of the songs were written from scratch, self written while building relationships with producers. Grammy Award-winning Mike Ashby was the main engineer for the majority of our records. This was a huge weight off our shoulders. Shout out to all the fans that stuck with us and waited all these years. We can’t wait to release project number 2.”
