Some have already seen 8 full minutes of IT Chapter 2 after an exclusive week showing in select theaters. The teaser footage must’ve been promising as it doesn’t seem to be slowing down the sales. Already IT has broken the record for most pre sale tickets within the Horror Genre.
The online movie ticketing service Atom records ITs’ presales topping all other horror movies offered on the site. Atom offers VIP experiences at movie theaters and digital movie tickets that allow buyers to skip the box office line. Plus you can pre-order your snacks!
The pre-order sales rank shows IT:Chapter Two on top, followed by Halloween, then Us and lastly Annabelle Comes Home.
IT: Chapter Two is estimated to bring $110 and $150 to the table on just opening weekend. Chapter 2 will follow Andy Muschiettis’ IT, which bought in $124 million opening weekend.
The first film reached some extremely good numbers. Domestically totaling over $300 million, internationally $400 million, ultimately giving Muschiettis’ film over $700 million world wide. That’s bank!
The pre-order sales record for Chapter 2 gives us a glimpse of at least opening weekend. We predict IT’s gonna be crazy! If you haven’t already, preorder your tickets on Atom.com or download the app to float past the box office lines!
IT creeps into theaters September 6th, on Labor Day.
