A new report fromThe DisInsider suggests that Johnny Depp may return as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6, with Disney reportedly preparing to start production soon. Rumor has it that Depp could potentially reprise his role based on a script that producer Jerry Bruckheimer composed before the film’s release. In the meantime, Disney is allegedly “quietly gearing up” to start the movie’s filming process. Depp has played the skilled and daring pirate in all five Pirates of The Carribean movies. The outlet hasn’t been able to officially confirm the news about the actor’s return quite yet.

The news about Depp’s possible return to the Pirates of the Carribean franchise comes after Orlando Bloom expressed his willingness to reenact his role as Will Turner in the sixth flick. The actor said he’d be open to it because he enjoyed the experience.
“Listen, it was a wild and fun experience so, you know, never say never. I have a lot of respect for that experience, and Jerry, and the whole thing,” Bloom continued. “But who knows? I mean, it’s sort of one of those things I really haven’t thought about it, really.”

He added, “I’m happy that I got to be a part of something that feels like it’s standing the test of time, which is cool.”
No other details surrounding Pirates of the Carribean 6 have been disclosed thus far.
