Joyner Lucas has dropped another record titled “24 hours to live” off his forthcoming LP, Not Now, I’m Busy. Right off the bat, the Massachusetts MC drops thought-provoking rhymes that touch on the afterlife. Moreso, Joyner Lucas asks the listeners how they’d spend their last days on Earth.
Then, the rapper explains what he’d do before dying. Joyner’s bucket list includes putting his opps in check, stealing a celebrities identity, and more.
“If you had 24 hours to live then where would you go and what would you do?/I’m about to catch a few felonies, load up the trunk, and then head to the Beverly’s,” he raps over the brooding trap cut.
“Hop out the whip and then rob a celebrity/Take all his s**t and then steal his identity/Strap on a vest and go kill all my enemies/Slap any hater that showed any jealousy.”
The rest of the single finds Joyner Lucas using avid storytelling to depict what he’d do if he only had one day left to live. Before the song ends, he continues to wonder what someone else would do if they were given the same news.
“See, I gotta a question, I wanna know like what would you do?/Would you go crazy because of it?” he spits. “Kill every n***a you holdin’ a grudge against?/Line up the plug and then steal you a hunnid bricks?/Slap any n***a that did any sucka s**t?“
Joyner Lucas closes out “24 hours to live” with a promise to live his final days with no regrets, encouraging his fans to do the same.
