The first full trailer for Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch remake has been released ahead of its theatrical release. The movie takes admiration from Disney’s 2002 animated film. Starring Chris Sanders who plays Stitch and Maia Kealoha who plays Lilo, the trailer shows the beloved Experiment 626 crash landing into Hawaii and meeting Lilo for the very first time. It also shines light on the bond they form as well as other important characters like Agent Pleakley (Billy Magnussen) and Dr. Jumba Jookiba (Zach Galifianakis), who appear as humans while trying to blend in on Earth. At its core, the new Lilo & Stitch stays true to the classic flick while adding in new fun-filled adventures. Additionally Lilo & Stitch stars Sydney Agudong as Nani Pelekai, Tia Carrere as Mrs. Kekoa, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, and Hannah Waddingham as the voice of the Grand Councilwoman.

The movie is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp while Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes oversee the script. Meanwhile, Jonathan Eirich and Dan Lin serve as producers. Executive producers are Tom Peitzman, Ryan Halprin, Louie Provost, and Thomas Schumacher. Chris Sanders co-wrote and co-directed the 2002 film Lilo & Stitch with Dean DeBlois. He also provided the voice for Stitch in the original film as well as its sequels, including Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch (2005) and Leroy & Stitch (2006). He created Stitch in 1985 for a children’s book proposal that was not accepted.
