Nintendo recently announced that a live-action movie for The Legend of Zelda is being made. The video game company dropped the news in a statement, adding that the upcoming film will be directed by Wes Bell. You can see the statement here. The series co-creator, Representative Director, and Fellow of Nintendo Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad, the Chairman of Arad Productions Inc. will be producing the series.
“By getting deeply involved in the movie production with the aim to put smiles on everyone’s faces through entertainment, Nintendo will continue its efforts to produce unique entertainment and deliver it to as many people as possible,” the statement reads.
The last game from the franchise was The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which debuted in May of 2023.
