Marvel is celebrating the franchise’s 85th anniversary with a tribute video that contains a timeline of the movie’s they’ve released so far and one’s that’ll hit big screens in the future. The event featured new footage from films like Thunderbolts, Daredevil: Born Again, and Captain America: Brave New World.
The Thunderbolts, which has a trailer below, is set to be released on May 2, 2025. The film will be available in IMAX, but that’s not all—the movie will also feature a team of antiheroes. The cast includes Hannah John-Cameron as Ghost, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes.
In another short clip, Charlie Cox makes a comeback to the Daredevil franchise, much to the excitement of Marvel fans who are eager to see what’s next. Matt Murdock will reprise his character as Daredevil also in Daredevil: Born Again which is set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025. From 2015 to 2018, Murdock was featured prominently in his role, including his appearance in the 2017 film The Defenders.
This fall, a sneak peek from Captain America: Brave New World will be also bee revealed and showcase a scene set at the podium in front of the White House. It’ll feature Harrison Ford as Red Hulk. The film is scheduled to be released on February 14, 2025.
“For 85 years, our stories have connected us. We have only just begun,” Ford stated in a press release.
He explained that he enjoys creating stories where the characters have relatable human qualities. His signature sign-off, “Excelsior,” is a tribute to his passion for storytelling.
