The Batman’s in-the-works news includes cast congratulations early/in considering production just began in January. Peter Sarsgaard praises Matt Reeves’ choice of “raw emotion” for the 2021 Batman film.
Already, The Batman’s cast list is stunning. Robert Pattinson for Batman, Zoe Kravitz for Cat Women, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon and Peter Sarsgaard bringing a new Gil to Gotham – just to name a few. A plot that highlights Darknight, taking Bruce Wayne to his young and early crime-fighting career in the 90’s and finally a confirmed director ; Matt Reeves (Planet of the Apes). No trailers as of yet, but cast compliments say Batman is coming with Raw Power!
Peter Sarsgaard shares about the project saying:
“It’s so raw in that way,”
“That’s what I feel like about this. It is not sanitized,”
“It’s got a raw power to it, a raw emotionality.”
Sarsgaard plays an antagonist to the Caped Crusade as Gotham Da Gil- a character who was solely created for this film in particular.
No news on budget or extended plot details thus far. Radars are on for teasers mid 2020. Warner Bro. announced The Batman release June 25, 2021. And now with Sarsgaards “RAW and not sanitized” praises- whether the film will remain PG is unknown.
