Double-time Grammy-nominee, MC Lyte is considered a rap pioneer. After she dropped Lyte As A Rock in the 1980s, the world stood still, for this was the first time a female rapper released a solo album. Now, Lyte will change the rap game once more because she is teaming up with Bentley Kyle Evans to create a new UMC half-hour scripted series titled Partners in Rhyme. In the past, Evans has assisted with directing shows like Martin and The Jamie Foxx Show.
Deadline says that Partners In Crime “follows the life of a female high school rapper, social media star, and foster kid who thinks she is next-up.”
