After Top Boy earned success from its first season, Netflix gave them the green light for a second one. So now, after waiting for two years, the show is making its way back to the streaming platform.
The trailer for Top Boy‘s second season reveals it’ll debut on March 18th, 2022. The show is said to carry ten new episodes.
Top Boy initially aired on Channel 4 for two seasons (2011-2013). However, the channel pulled the plug on it afterward. After Drake expressed that he was a fan of Top Boy, the show rebranded itself with a new creative team. This decision prompted Netflix to gain rights to the show’s revamp.
Drake became an executive producer with Adel Nur, Maverick Carter, and Jamal Henderson.
The series re-launched its first season with a fresher perspective on September 13th, 2019.
