Over the past few years, Netflix has been making even more noise than usual in the entertainment industry. While the streaming giant completely redefined how we consume content since it’s inception around the turn of the century, they have yet to take their foot off of the gas and have been working feverishly to provide fans with the entertaining content they have come to crave. Prime examples of this have come over the course of the past few years with new series such as Bridgerton and Squid Game resonating with fans especially well as Netflix ramped up their production efforts amidst the COVID-19 pandemic to continuously provide fans with content while they were stuck at home. Netflix’s efforts certainly pre-date the pandemic though, with a plethora of Netflix original series and films being produced over the past several years that have only helped cement their place in the entertainment industry further and further. Now arguably one of their most successful series is set to come to an end, with the latest trailer for the fourth and final season of Stranger Things virtually ensuring that fans are in for a treat.
Stranger Things first premiered on Netflix back in 2016 and immediately struck a chord with fans. The series is set in Indiana in the 1980s and follows the inhabitants of a fictional small town by the name of Hawkins who are forced to contend with the supernatural after something happens that opens the door between alternate universes, one of which being home to sinister, otherworldly creatures. Those creatures have been wreaking havoc in Hawkins for several years now and have seemingly only become more aggressive in the pursuit of their goals, but now their story is set to come to an end with the final season of Stranger Things set to debut on Netflix this year. In the new trailer for the final season we see the gang at the heart of Stranger Things gearing up for what appears to be one final battle with the supernatural forces that have consumed the small town they call home, and it looks like The Duffy Brothers have some tricks up their sleeves to ensure the final season of Stranger Things is one fans won’t forget. Stranger Things has been arguably one of the most critically acclaimed series of the past decade, but all good things must come to an end. The series has certainly had a memorable run over the last few years, and now the cast and crew behind Stranger Things is ready to bring everything full circle.
