According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC is developing another spin-off for Black-ish titled Old-ish. The storyline will focus on the parents of Anthony Anderson’s Dre Johnson, Earl, and Ruby Johnson. They will continue being played by Oscar nominee Laurence Fishburne and Jenifer Lewis.
The majority of Old-ish sees Ruby and Earl giving love a second chance. When they move to L.A., they’ll meet characters who represent the community’s old and new faces as they try to make it work as a married couple.
The third Black-ish spin-off will be written by Kenya Barris, who will also serve as an executive producer through his Khalabo Ink Society banner.
