Horror fans, prepare for chills! Director Leigh Whannell (The Invisible Man) is returning to the classic world of Universal Monsters with Wolf Man, set to hit theaters on January 17, 2025. Universal Pictures UK has just dropped a new trailer filled with exclusive footage, offering an even closer look at this anticipated horror-thriller. Check it out below to catch a glimpse of what’s coming!
Wolf Man follows Blake, played by Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor Things), a husband and father from San Francisco whose life takes a dark turn when he inherits his childhood home in rural Oregon. With his father mysteriously missing and presumed dead, Blake hopes to rekindle his fraying marriage with his wife, Charlotte (played by Emmy-winner Julia Garner, Inventing Anna), by taking her and their young daughter Ginger played by Matilda Firth of Hullraisers to the secluded property. But things quickly spiral out of control.
As the family approaches the isolated farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re viciously attacked by an unseen animal. They barricade themselves inside, but the night takes an even darker turn as Blake begins to transform into something sinister and inhuman. What lurks within may soon be more terrifying than the predator prowling outside. In a night of survival, Charlotte must face the unthinkable—wondering if the horror inside her home could be even deadlier than the beast outside.
Joining Abbott and Garner are co-stars Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid’s Tale), Ben Prendergast (The Sojourn Audio Drama), and Benedict Hardie (The Invisible Man). The screenplay was crafted by Whannell himself, along with Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum, and Rebecca Angelo (Dumb Money).
Produced by Blumhouse’s Jason Blum and actor Ryan Gosling, Wolf Man promises to be a spine-tingling addition to the iconic Universal Monsters franchise. It’s a collaboration between Universal Pictures and Blumhouse, presented by Gosling and Waypoint Entertainment in association with Cloak & Co.
Mark your calendars and get ready to face the darkness on January 17, 2025, when Wolf Man unleashes its terror on the big screen. Watch the latest trailer now!
