Nicki Minaj, widely known as the queen of hip-hop, has joined NBA Youngboy for Mike WiLL Made-It‘s newest song, “What That Speed Bout?!”
This tune is said to be a debut single off Mike WiLL Made-It’s forthcoming project, MICHAEL.
Although Ms. Onika gave birth nearly two months ago, that hasn’t stopped her from going hard in the studio. Following the announcement of her first child, the Trinidadian-American rapstress hopped on a remix to Sada Baby‘s “Whole Lotta Choppas,” which, to no surprise, did numbers. Previously, Nicki Minaj made history with Doja Cat on “Say So” and went to the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
Now, Nicki Minaj is back to demonstrate once more why she’s the reigning champ. Over the bass-heavy, medieval-like, Mike WiLL Made-It production, Nicki Minaj delivers straightforward bars with ease as she speaks about her everlasting charm with former beaus and one’s who’d like to court her. “I hit his phone, he gon’ curve her like a pitch n*gga,” she delivers. As her verse continues, Nicki The Ninja raps with pure confidence about her top-tier status, saying, “If he got seen out with me, it’s a big look.” She also pays a slight homage to Pop Smoke in the next line, “Pop body smoking like a big blunt.”
Before NBA Youngboy comes in, Nicki Minaj leaves a trail of words for the big shots, assuring them that she has on-site protection if things get out of pocket. Additionally, she uses a melodic cadence to display some coquettish rhymes.
The song is assisted by a visual which finds the three in a futuristic world full of robots and other advanced technology assets.
