The team behind Netflix’s RIP has added several new cast members, including actress and artist Teyana Taylor and The Flash star Sasha Calle. Directed by Joe Carnahan, the film is a new thriller that Netflix will be premiering. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are also set to join the cast. So far, limited information about the movie has been released, and a premiere date has not yet been announced.
Teyana Taylor is a well-known actress who has appeared in numerous films and series, including Stomp the Yard: Homecoming, The After Party, Coming 2 America, White Men Can’t Jump, and The Book of Clarence. In Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming film, she will star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Sasha Calle is best known for her role as Kara Zor-El, a.k.a. Supergirl, in the DC film The Flash, released in the summer of 2023. Most recently, she starred in the 2024 feature film In the Summers and is also recognized for her portrayal of Lola Rosales in the CBS series The Young and the Restless.
According to the film’s synopsis, RIP follows a group of Miami cops who uncover millions of dollars in a rundown stash house. The screenplay was written by Joe Carnahan, known for directing films like The A-Team, The Grey, Boss Level, Smokin’ Aces, and Copshop. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck will serve as producers, alongside Luciana Damon and Dani Bernfeld. Michael Joe and Kevin Halloran will join as executive producers to help bring the project to life.
