The Walking Dead star Steven Yeun has been added to the cast of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies’ untitled animated Avatar film. Details about his character, including which of the Four Nations he may belong to, are being kept under wraps. Based on Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko‘s beloved series Avatar The Last Airbender, the upcoming flick is set in the same world as the beloved TV series.

Sources say that the movie will reportedly expand on the universe in Avatar: The Last Airbender and could introduce new characters or events after the conclusion of the series. Other details about the plot haven’t been revealed.
Yeun joins Dave Bautista, Eric Nam, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten, and Román Zaragoza in the movie. It’s being directed by Lauren Montgomery, while William Mata is serving as co-director. Meanwhile, Maryann Garger, Latifa Ouaou, Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino are producing. Yeun was previously part of The Legend of Korra, another series within the Avatar: The Last Airbender realm. He voiced Wan, the first Avatar.
