The anticipation for the James Gunn-directed Superman film continues to build as DC Studios debuted a sneak peek at CinemaCon this week. In the short clip, Superman’s four-legged friend Krypto seemingly rushes to The Man of Steel’s side to free him from an ice tundra. His furry comrade ends up taking him to the Fortress of Solitude, where robotic caretakers heal him with their superpowers. From there, viewers witness Superman rescuing civilians and battling an entity known as a kaiju. Before it ends, Superman embraces his father, goes head-to-head against Lex Luther and shows affection to Lois Lane.

Robot 4 is voiced by the talented Alan Tudyk. Known for his frequent collaborations with Gunn, Tudyk has voiced robots in the past, such as Doctor Phosphorus in Creature Commandos and a robot in I, Robot.
Superman marks the first feature film in DC Studios’ newly reimagined universe. The movie stars David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Overall, the movie is a fresh take on the legendary superhero’s life, emphasizing his faith in humanity and the depth of his compassion. Produced by Peter Safran and Gunn, the film features Gunn as both its writer and director.
