Deadline brings word that Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Aaron Pierre will play in The Lion King prequel. The movie is currently in production. Likewise, it’s directed by Moonlight director Barry Jenkins. While the remainder of the Lion King prequel’s cast is unknown, it has been unveiled that Pierre will play as Mustafa, and Harrison Jr will play as Taka.
The prequel will reportedly continue a photorealistic animation style that the latest live-action film did.
The writer of the previous live-action film, Jeff Nathanson, is involved in the prequel.
The 2019 rendition of Lion King did exceptionally well, despite certain individual’s opinions. At the box office, it amassed over $1.6 billion. The movie stars Donald Glover, Beyoncé Knowles–Carter, and James Earl Jones.
