Universal strives to push modern blockbuster movies and it seems like The Mummy Prequel is their next project underway. The news was revealed by film industry analyst Daniel Richtman. Meanwhile, Wes Tooke is said to be writing the movie’s iconic script. However, it’s still uncertain if this a sequel to Brandon Fraser‘s Mummy or the original 1932 film Karl Freund directed. Still, many people grew to like the Mummy movie, which debuted in theaters in 2001.
Many have speculated 21 Jump Street actor Channing Tatum may collaborate with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller on this film together.
This potentially work will be an interesting twist as Tatum has appeared in many action movies in the past with much success.
All-in-all, the Mummy franchise will go back to the drawing board to create a never before seen experience that can prolong the series in the near future.
