The Weeknd made an announcement that seemingly ties in with his upcoming album’s name. At dawn, the “Starboy” musician unveiled that he’s be dropping an album titled Dawn FM on Friday, January 7th, 2022.
The news was hinted at on New Year when The Weeknd shared a text dialogue between himself and La Mar Taylor, the co-founder of XO Records.
“Happy New Year brother! What we thinking??” Taylor asked The Weeknd.
He answered: “Happy new year! Everything feels chaotic again. Music can heal, and that feels more important than another album rollout. Let’s just drop the whole thing and enjoy it with the people… XO.”
Ironically, Taylor’s photo has the text “DAWN FM” in the said screenshot. Dawn FM will feature Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Jim Carrey.
