Word of the Day
Tom Cruise has launched a new project, which includes a significant announcement he has yet to reveal. The famous actor, best known for starring in Mission: Impossible and Top Gun: Maverick, has teamed up with creative director Alejandro González Iñárritu. This collaboration marks their first debut, which will be showcased as part of Cruise’s new partnership with Warner Bros.
The title and storyline of the film remain unknown and are being kept under wraps. According to Variety, filming will begin soon in the United Kingdom. Though the exact start date has not been officially confirmed, production is anticipated to commence within the next few weeks.
The cast includes John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde, and Michael Stuhlbarg. Birdman co-writers Nicolas Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris, and journalist Sabina Berman have crafted the script.
Director Christopher McQuarrie recently shared his perspective on the storyline and setup, stating, “Tom and I are always reassessing our work and questioning how we could improve it,” hinting at plans to elevate the stunts.
Meanwhile, Cruise has another Mission: Impossible film in development. However, the eighth installment of the franchise has been pushed back to a 2025 release and will be renamed following the underwhelming box-office performance of Dead Reckoning.
