Tyler, The Creator didn’t leave fans speculating for too long this week. “CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST: JUNE 25TH,” the rapper posted today to his social media. This comes after three days of the rapper posting messages that had fans assuming that a new album was on the way.
The rapper teased fans with a short visual on June 14. He posted the visual to social media with the caption, “SIDE STREET.” The visual featured him making out with a woman, at the end of the visual the words, “Call Me If You Get Lost,” appear. Then on June 15 the rapper posted the phone number,”1-855-444-8888.” When you call the number you hear music playing and eventually hear the rapper say, “Call me if you can.”
On June 16, the rapper released his new single along with a visual titled, “LUMBERJACK.” On the track Tyler raps his heart out, shouting out his parents on the chorus and reminding us all that he really is the goat! At the end of the new visual, after seeing Tyler being trapped in what appears to be a blizzard, the words appear again, “Call Me If You Get Lost.” Fans began to speculate that a new album was on the way and that the title would be, “Call Me If You Get Lost.”
For those who guessed the correct title, you are geniuses, almost as genius as Tyler’s marketing of the upcoming album. The album is coming sooner than fans would have probably expected. This will be Tyler’s 6th studio album. His last album Igor, released in 2019 won Tyler a Grammy for Best Rap Album. Let’s see how this creative genius will raise the bar on this upcoming album.
