After a long wait, one of the greatest Netflix series is officially coming back with new episodes. The second season of Wednesday has been confirmed. The new season was announced during Geeked Week, according to Cultbox. The first season performed exceptionally well for the franchise, attracting a new audience while preserving its gothic and supernatural aesthetic. As the story progresses in the upcoming season, several cast members are set to return.
This season will introduce new cast members including Steve Buscemi, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Billie Piper, and Noah Taylor. Additionally, several guest stars will appear, such as Frances O’Connor, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, and Haley Joel Osment. While some actors will not be returning, it appears that production has a few surprises in store.
In addition to this, behind-the-scene videos were released for Wednesday‘s second season. It features returning cast members from the first season, including Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzmán, and Emma Myers. According to the Showrunners with Al Gough and Miles Miller, the entire Addams family will be returning to Nevermore Academy. Other details are under wraps.

The first season, creatively directed by Tim Burton, has become an iconic series that continues to go viral. It follows Wednesday’s parents as they encourage her to attend Nevermore Academy, a school filled with teens who are much like her, all while she becomes involved in solving a supernatural killing spree.
While a release date has not yet it’s been rumored to premiere on Netflix in 2025.
