Deadline brings word that Camila Cabello is set to star in Amazon Studios’ upcoming Cinderella movie. Amazon got a hold of the film once they bought it from Sony Pictures. Cinderella was supposed to hit big screens in July, but now it’ll premiere later this year on Amazon Prime Video. The new movie serves as Sony Pictures’ latest partnership with a streaming service. In the past, they’ve also inked deals with Disney+ and Netflix.
The film will follow the same plot as previous Cinderella films, except it will consist of more musical numbers and original songs by Cabello and Idina Menzel, to name a few.
Cast members include Billy Porter as the fairy godparent, Idina Menzel as the evil stepmother, Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Robert, and Pierce Brosnan as the King. Maddie Baillio and Charlotte Spencer will play as the Stepsisters.
