Alan Tudyk will join cast members David Corenswet, Will Reeve, and more in the highly anticipated movie Superman. Although there’s no information about his character, the Resident Alien actor went on Threads and hinted at playing Jimmy Olson’s French photographer friend, Bertrand “Bertie” Muegler. Skyler Gisondo stars as Jimmy Olson.
Within the DC universe, Tudyk also voices Clayface in HBO Max’s animated series Harley Quinn. More recently, he was given the role of the DC villain Doctor Phosphorous in the animated series Creature Commandos as well.

The upcoming DC Universe film, helmed by James Gunn, will be a unique creation in its own right. However, Superman will not adhere to traditional expectations. Instead, the movie will explore Clark Kent’s younger days, showcasing his dual life as both a superhero and a reporter.
“Superman tells the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas,” the logline states. “He is the embodiment of truth, justice, and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”
