‘Among Us’ TV Show In Development At CBS Studios

CBS is in the process of developing a show based on the game, “Among Us.” 

According to Variety, CBS Eye Animation Productions and independent game development studio Innersloth are collaborating to create an “Among Us” animated series for CBS Studios. Titmouse, who has worked on shows like Big Mouth and Royal Crackers, will oversee the animation process. Infinity Train creator Owen Dennis is the series’ creator and executive producer. 

The video game, “Among Us,” was released in 2018 and caught traction during COVID-19. In the game, players come together as crew members on a spaceship. However, one of the players is secretly an “imposter” who strives to kill the others silently. The players must guess who the “imposter” is to survive. The “imposter” is kicked off the ship if they are discovered. 

“Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on confusing, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone,” the game’s official description reads. “Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”
