Anna Faris stated in a recent interview that she would potentially reprise her role as Cindy Campbell in the Scary Movie series, but on her own terms and conditions.
During a sit-down with People, the actress revealed that a hefty compensation would contribute to her return in future Scary Movie films. Following this, Faris expressed that she’d definitely love to reprise her role if she could co-star with her favorite former colleague, Regina Hall, who portrays the character Brenda in the Scary Movie series. Faris also emphasized how much she values and cherishes their friendship.
“I would love to work with Regina again. I just love her so much,” Faris said. “We would make each other giggle all day long. Regina Hall would be my answer. And money. But mostly all Regina!”
Elsewhere, Faris discussed the significant impact that 2000’s Scary Movie and the other three Scary Movie films had on her comedic skills.
“If I were to compare my growth experience to high school, those four movies were crucial in teaching me how to use props, how to fall, how to take a hit to the head, and even how to hold Chiclets in my mouth and spit them out with blood at just the right moment for the camera,” Faris told People.
Anna has been in four Scary Movie installments, but it’s been a few years since she or Hall appeared in the most recent films.
The latest release in the franchise, Scary Movie 5, starred Ashley Tisdale and Simon Rex. In April, Paramount and Miramax revealed that there are plans to create a reboot the franchise. It’ll be helmed by Fast and Furious producer Neal H. Moritz.
