Apple TV+ has released the trailer for Dope Thief, a crime drama starring Brian Tyree Henry as Ray and Wagner Moura as Manny. Premiering on March 14, 2025, with two episodes, the series follows two longtime friends who disguise themselves as DEA agents to scam small-time drug dealers. However, their scheme takes a fatal turn when they target the wrong person, exposing a major drug corridor on the Eastern Seaboard. The cast also contains an ensemble of talented actors like Marin Ireland as Kristy, Kate Mulgrew as Theresa, Nesta Cooper as Michelle, Amir Arison as Mark, Dustin Nguyen as Ho Dinh, and Ving Rhames as Bart.
“The series follows Philly best friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside, only to have their small-time grift become a life-and-death enterprise, as they unwittingly reveal and unravel the biggest hidden narcotics corridor,” the official logline reads.

Based on Dennis Tafoya‘s 2009 novel of the same name, Dope Thief is created by Peter Craig and executive produced by Ridley Scott, who also directs the first episode. The series is also overseen by David W. Zucker, Richard Heus, Henry, Jordan Sheehan, Clayton Krueger, and Jennifer Wiley-Moxley.
