Expecting Release Date
The release date for this currently untitled comedy, which was initially scheduled to premiere on July 4th, 2025, has been pushed back by eight months to now debut in March 2026.
Lamar’s Grand Tour!!!!!
While the specific reason for the delay has not been disclosed, it coincides with Kendrick Lamar’s upcoming Grand National stadium tour, which is set to kick off on April 19th, 2025. Lamar will be touring extensively throughout the summer, with the final performance scheduled to take place on August 19th, 2025, in Sweden.
“Currently, details about the film remain scarce. However, early reports from three years ago indicate that the storyline will explore the intersection of past and present. It follows a young Black man who is interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum. Throughout the narrative, he uncovers a shocking revelation: his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his own ancestors.”
Kendrick Lamar’s production company, pgLang, is set to collaborate with Stone and Parker’s Park County to produce a new film for Paramount Pictures. This live-action comedy was initially reported to be penned by Vernon Chatman, although it remains unclear if there have been any updates or changes to the writing team since then.
