Last night on July 6th 2019 Disney Star Cameron Boyce passed away in his sleep due to an ongoing medical condition.
According to ABC NEWS, a spokesperson on behalf of the Boyce family stated,
It is with profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron. He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.
Boyce was known for various projects throughout his career. From starting off in one of his first biggest movies Grownups with Adam Sandler, to making his own big debut as Luke Ross in Disney Channels original series “Hey Jessie,” also starring Skai Jackson and Debbie Ryan. Then starring in the original movie “ The Descendants,” which catapulted Disney’s sales and ratings all throughout 2015- 2017.
Not only was Cameron an actor, but he also was known for being a humanitarian and getting involved with charities. He received the opportunity to introduce Joe Biden, former Vice President to Barack Obama, at his Biden Courage Awards in March, and also received his own award, The Pioneering Spirit Award. This was rewarded to him by a non profit called the Thirst Project, for raising $30,000 to build drinking wells in Swaziland.
