The extravagant pieces that Janet Jackson wore for Michael Jackson’s music video “Scream” were recently up for grabs! This set, among others, was sold at Julien’s Auction’s event. He named the collection “Iconic Treasures From The Legendary Career and Life of Janet Jackson.”
The all-black outfit that Janet Jackson flaunted in costs $125,000. Sources say she gave Julien the pieces for her 55th birthday. The auction describes this iconic set as,
“A black circular “bubble” textured fabric long-sleeve shirt by Dexter Wong, a pair of black patent leather pants, and a pair of black patent leather over-the-ankle chunky low-heel boots.”
One organization that will get a share of the profits is Compassion International. Their main goal is to fight against child poverty. Jackson also passed along her floor-length metallic silver coat with lambskin shearling lining, cuffs, and collar, which sold for $50,000. A silver string bikini and matching pants went for $25,600. Additionally, her jacket from the 1990 Rhythm Nation Tour and 1814 cap and black satin gloves sold for $81,250, while silver-tone hoop earrings she wore at the 1987 Soul Train Awards pulled in $43,750.
