Whoever said R&B was dead is in for a rude awakening. Meet up and coming singer/songwriter Kärma who is here to serenade us with her captivating sound, and commanding aura via her latest project THREE.
THREE is the New Jersey native’s 5th project to date, in which she depicts a story of the three most integral, and universal transitions within the human experience; love, loss, and sex. The EP is short, sweet, and straight to the point. She open’s up with “Clouded Eyez,” followed by lead single, “Break Off,” and finally concluding with, “Creep 2018.” Together, these records capture the elegance of her sound, the power behind her personality, and her overall sex appeal.
However, what I find to be most impressive within this body of work is Kärma’s lyrical affinity. Although she’s offering raw, and authentic R&B she also teases us with a us a taste of hip hop as she delivers hard hitting bars that are backed by divine harmonies that truly give you the full musical experience. On THREE Kärma absolutely shows us that she possess’ a complexity that cannot be categorized.
Along with her EP, the songstress also unveiled the dreamy music video to, “Break Off.” Here, we get to see her in her element as she talks her shit about a dead end relationship.
