Lindsay Lohan recently gave fans an update on Freaky Friday 2. During an interview on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, the actress was asked about a potential Freaky Friday sequel. In response, she revealed that there’s a sequel in the works. However, there’s yet to be a release date for Freaky Friday 2.
“It is,” Lohan responded. “I won’t say that yet . . . I don’t want to say too much.”
She continued, “We’re both excited! I’m going to speak for Jamie.”
Freaky Friday premiered in theaters in 2003, amassing $160 million against a reported budget of $26 million. The movie was created from a screenplay by Heather Hach and Leslie Down.
Freaky Friday is about a mother and daughter who switch bodies because of their somewhat troubled relationship. The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Lohan, Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Stephen Tobolowsky, Rosalind Chao, and more. Freaky Friday is based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel of the same name.
