After 2019 with his introductory single, “End of A Love Song,” singer/songwriter Malkalm has re-emerged with a new 90’s inspired banger “Body on Mine.”
The NJ native has always had music in his blood singing from a young age. He started off in his church choir; as did most of the greats. With parents of Nigerian & Sierra Leonean descent, schooling and education was their primary focus for Malkalm, but he had other dreams in mind. He began writing and vocal producing tracks for several underground artists in his local studio. He also took that time to find his sound recording song after song.
Now, with his new record “Body on Mine,” Malkalm carefully, and perfectly depicts all the things he loves about music and storytelling. Set to the tone of an old school Brandy, meets new school Teyanna Taylor vibe he croons us through a lustful romance filled with liquor, dancing, and passion.
“So tonight / I’m ready to show you right babe / Drinking Bacardi / I’m ready to leave this party I / Feel so good / Imma make you feel so good baby / Touching on yo body / Wanna put my body on yo body babe,” he sings.
The visual also serves as a perfect representation of what this songs aims to do: Encourage having a good time, surrounded by good vibes, and good looking suitors. Brimming with cool earth tones, juxtaposed against bright streetwear, and foreign cars you immediately feel compelled to join in on the fun. We even get the chance to see Malkalm up close, in his element dancing a full blown choreography.
