Marvel Rivals has an official release date. According to IGN, the video game will hit shelves on December 6, 2024. The news was revealed during the Open Night Live segment at Gamescom 2024 alongside a new trailer that features Captain America, The Winter Soldier, and a gigantic Doctor Doom moving chess pieces on a cosmic scale.
“We are ecstatic to be part of this year’s Gamescom and the opportunity to connect with players from all across Europe,” stated Ethan Wang, Senior Vice President, NetEase. “We are now entering the final stages of development as we march towards our December 6 release.”
Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 hero shooter game similar to Overwatch. The game, developed by NetEase, consists of MCU’s esteemed superheroes and villains and allows players to use slinging powers to conquer team-based objectives on destructible maps across the Marvel Multiverse. All heroes will also be free to play. Marvel Rivals will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store.
