Paramount Pictures has just dropped a fresh batch of character posters for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, the latest installment in the action-packed spy saga starring Tom Cruise. The posters come out just ahead of ticket sales, which start on Monday, April 28.
The film, which is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, brings back many of the series’ favorite characters. Tom Cruise returns as the legendary Ethan Hunt, and the posters highlight several returning stars like Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, and Henry Czerny. There’s also a glimpse of some new and familiar faces, including Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Angela Bassett, Shea Whigham, and more.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who also co-wrote the script with Erik Jendresen, Mission: Impossible –The Final Reckoning is a collaboration between Paramount and Skydance. McQuarrie and Cruise are producing. Meanwhile, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Chris Brock serve as executive producers. It’s still uncertain whether this will be the last Mission: Impossible film.
The previous movie, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, didn’t do too well at the box office, earning only $570 million worldwide. It struggled to compete with summer blockbusters Barbie and Oppenheimer, despite its high budget and action-packed storyline.
The movie faces stiff competition at the box office, opening the same day as Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch. It’ll also share the spotlight in May with other big titles like Thunderbolts, Final Destination: Bloodlines, and Karate Kid: Legends.
