Warner Bros has announced that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set to hit theaters on June 26, 2026.
DC Studios has released the first on-set images from Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow showcasing Milly Alcock in her role as the iconic Girl of Steel.
These photographs, taken during the ongoing shoot in London, emphasize her suit’s faithful adaptation from the comics and suggest an impending showdown with a mysterious foe.
As filming progresses, photos captured by @UnBoxPHDFILM depict Alcock poised on top of what looks like an armored vehicle. She’s donned in a comic-accurate costume featuring long blue sleeves, a gold belt, a flowing red skirt, and striking red boots. A short cape is also present, which may be enhanced with CGI in the final cut of the film.
In a recent post, James Gunn referred to the upcoming film simply as “Supergirl,” sparking speculation that the original subtitle, “Woman of Tomorrow,” might have been removed.
However, there has been no official confirmation regarding this potential change. Gunn further elaborated that this incarnation of Supergirl is inspired by Tom King’s 2022 comic series and is portrayed as “much more hardcore,” having endured significant trauma before arriving on Earth.
